Nurture Rooms
Friday 23rd October
Nurture Room One: The Hive
It’s been a spooktacular week in The Hive! The children have been enjoying lots of Halloween-themed activities, including plenty of arts and crafts. We’ve had great fun mixing magical potions and creating some wonderfully spooky creations alongside our Halloween-themed Maths and Writing!
Nurture Room: The Nest
Our theme in The Nest this week has been ‘All About Me!’ The children have been busy sharing their strengths, passions, likes and dislikes, giving them a lovely opportunity to celebrate what makes each of them unique.
On Tuesday, the children enjoyed a trip to the local park, where they had the chance to get outside. Then, on Thursday, there was more excitement as we finally got to use our newly installed oven! The children put their baking skills to the test and made some delicious cakes.
It’s been another busy and enjoyable week across our nurture rooms, filled with creativity, new experiences and lots of opportunities for the children to learn and share.
Friday 16th October
Nurture Room One: The Hive
It has been another busy and exciting week in The Hive!
This week, the children have been enjoying Room on the Broom and taking part in lots of activities inspired by the story. They have had great fun writing their own magical potions and developing their maths skills by practising number bonds to 10 and 20 using witches’ hats.
The children have also enjoyed spending time in our Forest School area, where they have been working together, solving problems and developing their teamwork skills.
Nurture Room: The Nest
Bravery has been the theme in The Nest this week, with lots of lovely opportunities for the children to learn, create and explore.
The children have been busy collecting conkers and using them to compare weights, bringing maths learning into their exploration of the natural world.
They have also decorated their own special boxes to keep items that can help them feel calm and regulate their emotions when things feel a little overwhelming.
Our afternoon life skills sessions have been especially busy too! The children have enjoyed a visit to the park, making some delicious ghost biscuits and getting creative with artwork.
What a fantastic week of learning, creativity and new experiences across our nurture rooms!
