As our school site dates back to 1911, we have a variety of old, brick built out-buildings, some of which are very useful. This picture shows the play shelters on the front playground. The playground is marked out with a painted roadway and coloured shapes for playing games on. The shelters have been beautifully painted inside with brightly coloured murals. One houses picnic benches and seating: ideal for windy days or sheltering from the heat of the sun in the summer. There is a wooden maze on this playground; and tubs of flowers to brighten it up in summer |

Behind our main school building is the field. This is used for playing football and for athletics and sports. This corner of the field has a trim-trail and play tyres to play on in the summer months. There is a willow dome behind the trim trail which provides a leafy shelter to play in and behind that, our nature area. This is fenced off for protection and contains a wood pile, bird tables, grassy areas, a small pond and areas of flowers. A wood-chip path leads through the wildlife area from a gate in the fence. There is an observation platform just inside the fence and bird-feeders are hung on the bird tables. |

The two reception/year one classrooms have a small play area of their own. This is fenced off from the rest of the field and houses some play equipment just for young children. Here the children are washing doll's clothes and hanging them out to dry on the washing line. A Wendy House is also on this part of the site, as well as sit and ride toys. Inside the classrooms the children have their own shop for role play as well as construction equipment, a listening corner, a sand pit and a computer corner. |
