| Our Green Week | ||||||||||||||||||
| Stanway Primary is currently working towards obtaining Eco-School Status. We have passed the first test, which is the Bronze Award. To achieve this the children and staff have been raising their awareness of the amount of energy and water we consume in the school. Each class has elected Eco Council representatives and a Task Force of staff and parents has been formed to monitor the progress towards our Green Flag.
In January the task force combined with the Healthy Schools Task Force to create the Lifestyle Group. Members of the group will be working with members of the Eco council to gather more in depth information about our energy consumption and to develop an action plan to try and cut back on any unnecessary wastage. Any parents wishing to be involved with the Lifestyle Task Force should contact either Mrs O'Mara or Mr Pulford for further details. |
